About Vessel

The copper-clad structure holds 154 flights and 2,500 steps arranged in a honeycomb open to the sky above the Hudson Yards plaza. Vessel closed in 2021 after a series of safety incidents and reopened with floor-to-ceiling mesh enclosures, staffing changes and timed ticketing. Access is ticketed and runs on a seasonal schedule, so book online before travelling.
