About The High Line

Saved from demolition and opened in stages from 2009, the High Line runs 1.45 miles from Gansevoort Street to Hudson Yards, thirty feet above the street. Planting by Piet Oudolf follows the self-seeded landscape that grew on the abandoned tracks, and the walkway passes viewing decks, seating, public art and the Chelsea Market Passage.
