About St. Patrick's Cathedral

Consecrated in 1879, James Renwick Jr.'s white marble cathedral seats 2,400 beneath 330-foot spires. Inside are more than seventy stained-glass windows, a Pietà three times larger than Michelangelo's, and the Lady Chapel behind the high altar. Visitors are welcome outside Mass times, and entry is free.
