About Rockefeller Center

Built between 1930 and 1939, Rockefeller Center covers 22 acres of Midtown with limestone towers, rooftop gardens and the Channel Gardens leading to the sunken plaza. The plaza becomes an ice rink each winter beneath the famous Christmas tree, and the complex holds Radio City Music Hall, the NBC studios and murals by Diego Rivera's successor Josep Maria Sert.
