The Sicilian-born sculptor installed the bull outside the New York Stock Exchange without permission one night in December 1989 as a symbol of resilience after the 1987 crash. Moved to the Bowling Green plaza days later, it has stayed ever since and draws a near-constant queue of visitors. Come before 08:00 for a photograph without crowds.
