Brooklyn Bridge

About Brooklyn Bridge

John and Washington Roebling's bridge was the longest suspension span in the world when it opened, its Gothic granite towers and steel cable web still among the city's defining images. The elevated pedestrian promenade starts near Park Row and Centre Street and takes about thirty-five minutes to cross; walk east at sunrise for empty planks and clear skyline views.
