About The Smith Center for the Performing Arts
Located in Symphony Park in Downtown Las Vegas, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is a substantial complex spanning 5 acres. It comprises three theaters housed within two distinct buildings. The architectural style, Neo Art Deco, was intentionally chosen to reflect design elements seen at the Hoover Dam, located nearby. The center also shares design features with the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. A prominent feature is its 17-story carillon tower, which contains 47 bells. The Smith Center is notable for being the first performing arts center in the United States to achieve Gold LEED certification. It hosts a variety of international music and dance companies and serves as the home for both the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Nevada Ballet Theatre.
