About Madame Tussauds Las Vegas
Madame Tussauds, founded in London in 1835 by French wax sculptor Marie Tussaud, has become a global attraction. The original London location opened new exhibition galleries in 1884, leading to its incorporation as a company in 1889. The museum has been a major tourist destination since the Victorian era. Now operated by the British entertainment company Merlin Entertainments, Madame Tussauds has multiple locations worldwide, with the first overseas branch opening in Amsterdam in 1970.
