Central Park was designed, not found. This walk follows a mile of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux's landscape from the Central Park Zoo near the southeast corner, along the Mall to Bethesda Terrace and its fountain, and up to Belvedere Castle looking out over the Ramble. Allow forty minutes of narration and as long again for stopping.
